Liar, Liar, Beard On Fire!

Myth #1 - Beards are itchy

Fact: Itchy beards aren’t very common. If you have an itchy beard, you are likely in the beginning stages of growth. Itching shouldn’t last longer than 3 weeks.

Pro Tip: Make sure you are taking care of your skin and hair. Use beard oil to keep it all healthy and itch-free.

Myth #2 - Barbers have to trim your beard

Fact: A barber will likely trim and style your beard based on his preference. The best place you can go to trim your beard is your own bathroom (or take the time to find the right barber).

Myth # 3 - Shaving a beard will make it thicker

Fact: No. Just No.

Myth #4 - You won’t get a job

Fact: Not all professions are beard friendly, however, a well-kept beard can make you look very distinguished and memorable. File this old-school nonsense under “Tattoos are only for sailors”.

Myth #5 - Beards are unattractive

Fact: Contrary to what some people believe, beards actually boost attractiveness.
Ultimately, personal preference will determine whether your beard will help or hurt you in the dating scene but a scientific study in Australia proved that “an intermediate level of beardedness is most attractive while full-bearded men may be perceived as better fathers who could protect and invest in offspring.

Myth #6 - Beards are dirty

Fact: Beards aren’t dirty if you clean them, bro. Make sure you’re washing your face, shampooing and conditioning your beard a few times a week, and using that beard oil!
